 The
Mathematics and Science Benchmarking Reports for TIMSS 1999 were released
at 10:00 a.m. on April 4, 2001 at the National Press Club in Washington,
DC. The reports and materials
from the press release are now available on this web site. The reports,
however, serve only as the initial basis to investigate trends and patterns
in the data. With the support of NCES
and NSF, the TIMSS ISC
at Boston College is holding training sessions in May and September to
assist the states and districts in using their TIMSS data to improve mathematics
