- Students demonstrated greater mathematics growth between fourth and fifth grades if they had more educational resources at home.
- Academic achievement improved more for students who reported a greater sense of well-being at school.
- Students who reported being frequently absent or bullied showed less growth and lower average achievement than their peers.
- Fewer students had positive attitudes toward mathematics and science in Grade 5 than in Grade 4.
